This year we will be celebrating the 117th annual Arlee Celebration. The celebration will begin on Wednesday, July 1st and end on the evening of Sunday July 5th. Wednesday is the designated Camp Day when participants will begin erecting encampments for the celebration weekend. Wednesday evening is set aside for a Memorial Ceremony which acknowledges the tribal members who passed away during the last year.
On July 4th, the Snake Dance is scheduled for the afternoon session. An Old Style Day will be scheduled to bring back the old style dress, dancing, drumming and singing. The competition dancing will begin in the Friday evening session and continue throughout the weekend. The winners of the dancing and drumming commpetions will be announced Sunday evening.
