SUMMARY:First Friday at MAM: Gallery Talk "On Darkness: shifting perception
 s"
LOCATION:Missoula Art Museum\, Missoula\, MT
DESCRIPTION:Join us for First Friday featuring a gallery talk with MAM Regi
strar Margo Geddes\, who will share the inspiration behind On Darkness: Sh
ifting Perceptions\, an exhibition she organized from the MAM Collection.
The exhibition considers darkness not simply as the absence of light\, but
as a distinct perceptual space\, one that changes how we see\, imagine\,
and understand the world. Drawing from the MAM Collection\, the works in "
On Darkness: shifting perceptions" explore darkness as both a visual exper
ience and an imaginative space. Through light\, shadow\, shifting depth\,
scale\, and form\, the artists invite viewers to question\, reflect\, and
consider their own relationship to darkness.\n\nEvent website: https://vis
