 by the Beartooth Plein Air Society. The Beartooth Plein Air Society is a g
 roup of painters that meet annually and braves the elements to paint outsi
 de on location. This year the group painted around the Chief Joseph Highwa
 y\, the Beartooth Pass\, the Main Fork of the Rock Creek\, Tippet Rise and
  the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary. Each painter sought out their own pai
 nting reference point in the designated area. Artists paint all morning tr
 ying to capture the sense of a location before it changes as the day moves
