The Montana Folk Festival is the Northwest’s largest free outdoor music festival featuring artists from all over the nation, ethnic foods, a lively Family Area, and Folklife demonstrations and workshops that focus on a new theme each year that highlights Montana’s heritage. 2014's theme will focus on the influence of automobils and roadways on Montana lifeways-- "The Culture of the Car: The Influence of Automobiles and their Roadways on Heritage and Culture in Montana and the Mountain West."

The Montana Folk Festival will continue to feature multiple stages with continuous live performances by some of the best traditional performers in the nation, including Montana's finest, some of the region's best traditional artists, ethnic and festival foods, a lively Family Area, and Folklife demonstrations and workshops that focus on a new theme each year that highlights Montana's heritage.
