Powder River Quarter Horse Breeders Association Sale and Futurity is always held on Saturday and Sunday. The horse sale is always held on the first Sunday in September, and the 2/3 Year Old Futurity and Mature Horse Versatility Competitions are always held the Saturday before the sale, while the $10,000 added Yearling Futurity on Sunday morning before the sale. This is a quarter horse sale, and futurity event for horses that are purchased through the Powder River Quarter Horse Breeders Association Sale.
Offered in the sale is a nice selection of registered AQHA weanlings, yearlings, and ride horses of all ages and of top quality from local breeders. We have an exclusive feature of a $10,000 added yearling halter futurity that only colts purchased through the sale are eligible for. We also have a memorial youth futurity; The MartyAnna McDonald Youth Futurity. This Youth Futurity was established by the McDonald family in the memory of MartyAnna, a little girl that was lost to soon and loved showing horses.
