VIDEO: Lollipop the Skunk Combats Boredom By Painting

Are you chafing from the rules of the post-Coviid world?  Mask rules got you down?  Did lockdown have you clawing at the walls?

Well, you're not alone.  Lollipop the skunk feels your pain.

Lollipop, one of the adorable critters highlighted by Animal Wonders, a nonprofit located just outside of Missoula, Montana, has also been bored lately.

Since Lollipop is a skunk, part of the family Mustelidae, Lollipop has to be extra careful.  Members of Mustelidae, which include weasels and badgers, can get viral colds from humans -- which means that Lollipop's social schedule, which used to include one to two trips to schools or other public presentations, has been severely curtailed.

But the good people at Animal Wonders have been making sure that Lollipop stays entertained by hiding food for her, letting her explore the outdoors a bit, and even letting Lollipop do a little painting.

Lollipop's masterpieces have been getting a lot of attention lately, as her human friend in the video points out that orders for her work are backing up.

As a deeply lazy person, the fact that a skunk is spending her downtime painting is enough to make me feel guilty.  But I ask you this: has the skunk seen "Groundhog Day" three times in the last month?  I think not.
