Missoula Art Museum's November First Friday features a gallery talk with MAM Registrar Margo Geddes, who will share the inspiration behind On Darkness: Shifting Perceptions, an exhibition she organized from the MAM Collection.

The exhibition considers darkness not simply as the absence of light, but as a distinct perceptual space, one that changes how we see, imagine, and understand the world. Through light, shadow, shifting depth, scale and form, the works invite viewers to consider their own relationship to darkness.

The museum is open 5 to 7 p.m., with the gallery talk from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and music by The Dawn Patrol.
