Saturday, October 10th through Sunday, November 15th, Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery Exhibition: Somewhere Out There: Works by the Beartooth Plein Air Society. The Beartooth Plein Air Society is a group of painters that meet annually and braves the elements to paint outside on location. This year the group painted around the Chief Joseph Highway, the Beartooth Pass, the Main Fork of the Rock Creek, Tippet Rise and the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary. Each painter sought out their own painting reference point in the designated area. Artists paint all morning trying to capture the sense of a location before it changes as the day moves on and the light shifts.
