Renee Pipinich, an NRHA champion rider and NRHA judge, leads a four-week reining clinic for intermediate and advanced riders at Reining Horses Unlimited in Helena. Sessions run in the indoor arena on four Saturdays, October 31 and November 7, 14 and 21, from 2 to 4 p.m., and the arena opens at 1:30 for warm-ups.
The clinic works on spins and turnarounds, sliding stops and rollbacks, circles, speed control and lead changes, rider position and timing, and linking maneuvers through pattern work. It's built for riders with solid fundamentals who want more precision, softness and consistency from their horse.
Previous reining experience helps but isn't required. Riders should be confident at the walk, trot and lope and bring their own suitable horse.
The full four-week clinic is $400. Space is limited, and once it fills, riders go on a waitlist. Call or text Renee Pipinich at 406-422-6873 to register.
