‘Distinctly” is spot on! It’s a window to the past and in some cases a memory of those bygone days.
Enjoy articles by the Old Broke Rancher. I grew up in the same “country boy” era with relatable experiences. Also, I enjoy the Get to Know Your Counties articles. Having been born and raised in Montana, I’ve been to almost all of them. It’s fun knowing the facts and places to visit while traveling the State. It’s a nice venue for sale of Montana made products.

Disappointing
I don't see a what do you think of our magazine so my review goes in this section. I get a lot of magazines and I hoped that yours would be one I would enjoy with great stories, features, etc. The Fall 2026 issue is a little better but the previous ones were not good. Uninteresting articles, photos without captions describing photo, location, etc. Your price is way too expensive. I love the state, your magazine not so much, sorry.

I think ‘DM’ is a very good magazine. I like your ads. My favorite one so far is for ‘Yellowstone Family Dental’. Another ad I thought was intriguing was the map of Montana- ‘The Treasure State’. Is ‘Confederate Gulch really a town in Montana where gold was found? I also like the articles: ‘Do Tommyknockers lurk in the Dark’? ‘East to Gold Mountain’ about Chinese miners in Montana, and ‘Get to Know a County—Toole County’. I found it very informative. I think the town of Kevin should have been named ‘Thomas’ after Thomas Kevin’s first name, not his surname. I enjoyed the Fall issue. For now, this is the only purchase I’ve made in a while from Montana. I hope I’ll make more soon.

Ideas for you
Good-I'd like it to be more frequent however.
Content ideas:
City Spotlight-do a review of a town in each issue to create awareness, promote visits, and educate the readers. Include history, things to do, places to eat, what life is like there, etc.
For every issue, make a roster of things to do in various places that month-just send out a request to the various Chambers of commerce or other tourist information storehouses-I'm sure they'd love to sent you activities.
Do a regular series on businesses in Montana-again, I suspect if you put out a request to the various chambers of commerce, they'd be happy to give you contributors.
